Relax and enjoy

Looking for a relaxing country retreat away from the hustle & bustle of the city, then we’re here for you!!  Pierrepoint Wines offers farm stay / bed and breakfast style accommodation in delightful north facing rooms which overlook an extensive garden and a 14 acre vineyard. Whilst the rooms are part of the Edwardian house, each room has direct access to the car park thus maintaining complete privacy if required. The rooms offer one extremely comfortable queen size bed with adjoining en suites; the Chardonnay Suite has an additional single bed.  Both rooms have been equipped with new reverse cycle air conditioners / heaters, new good size refridgerators and have abundant motel style kitchen facilities.  The en suites include individual soaps and shampoo/conditioner.

The cellar door is in one of the original farm sheds and was part of the Winery offering rustic, olde world charm and a true country experience. It also operates as a Function Centre for an event of your choosing and can cater for 80 people at a cocktail style event or 50 people seated.  Alternately, marquees can be hired locally and erected in the car park; the largest wedding held here catered for 180 people so the potential is unlimited.  The cellar door is open most days 11am – 6pm. (Signs on highways if closed). Home made cakes, locally roasted Rox (whilst you’re here, visit the gorgeous Roxburgh cafe) espresso coffee and locally owned “Simply Tea” offering a huge range of tea varieties. Winery equipment originally used in 2002 contributes to the décor. Pierrepoint Cellar Door has a north easterly aspect capturing the sunshine and overlooking the numerous breeds of poultry wandering amidst the vines.

To the south of the homestead, Mt Napier appears on the horizon beyond the Muddy Creek valley and productive farming land.

The Tarrington area offers a picturesque, undulating landscape. The township named as Hochkirch by its German founders in 1853, changed its name to Tarrington in 1916 due to world events at the time. It has maintained a strong and proud German heritage. The town boasts one of the best cafe/restaurants in the district: Café Catalpa which is family owned and operated and is only 4km from “Pierrepoint”. (Closed Mon and Tue)
