JAMES HALLIDAY AUSTRALIAN WINE COMPANION MAGAZINE 2016
Colour: Rich berry red
Nose: A bouquet of fruitiness – notes of ripe cherry and berries. French Oak and underlying hints of star anise, cloves and cinnamon.
Palate: Lush fruit flavours follow through on the palate and are met with a rich earthiness and well structured tannins. The powerful fruitness, natural richness and sound structure of the wine flow through to a long, flavoursome, elegant finish.
This wine is perfectly enjoyable to drink now. Enjoy with rich quail dishes or panfried duck breast with juniperberry jus. Cellaring will also prove beneficial.
