2022 Pierrepoint Nick’s Pick Pinot Gris

TASTING NOTES – WINEMAKER: OWEN LATTA
“A lively, spicy Pinot Gris with aromas of poached pears, citrus blossom and grilled nuts. Medium weight on the palate with a silky texture and flavours of fresh pear, lemon curd and toasted spices. A nice length driven by firm acidity. Screwcap. 13.5% alc.”

WINE MAKING NOTES
“The grapes were whole bunch pressed lightly in a pneumatic bag press on the same day received and transferred to French oak barrels for fermentation. Slow low temperature natural ferment followed by aging on lees in French oak barriques for 9 months. Complete Malolactic fermentation. No additions were made to the wine, with the exception of a minor protective amount of Sulphur Dioxide prior to bottling.”
