With our events in the western district, we are committed to delivering our pay-forward ticketing initiative, whereby the funds incoming from ticket sales are applied forward to a future community benefit in that locale, spanning our interests in art, environment, community and sustainability. In this case, we’re looking to work with Hamilton schools on opportunities for the growth and development of their music students.
ABOUT WANG ZHENG-TING
Dr Wang Zheng-Ting graduated from Shanghai Music Conservatory, completed an MA at Monash University, and a PhD in Ethnomusicology at the University of Melbourne on the history of Chinese Performing Arts in Australia. He currently coordinates the Chinese Instrumental Program at the University of Melbourne. He has been invited as a visiting scholar to the City University of New York, as guest professor at Xiamen University China, and as research fellow at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in China.
ABOUT PIERREPOINT VINEYARD
Pierrepoint Vineyard is located at the foothills of Mount Pierrepoint between Hamilton and Tarrington in the beautiful Western District of Victoria. This family owned and operated vineyard, cellar door and Bed and Breakfast has been a Tarrington tourist stopover since 2000. The vineyard is managed with traditional care, and without the use of chemicals – you’ll see geese, ducks and chickens roaming free, controlling pests naturally. Our Estate wines – Nick’s Pick Pinot Gris, Alexandra Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sparkling Pinot Gris and the Lacey Dessert Pinot Gris are available to purchase at the cellar door.
